New York; New York....

We were lucky to be able to catch up with our very dear friend, Stirling Fielding, while he was in New York.  We made the journey across and back by Amtrak - very comfy, on time and a pretty good way to travel.  We took in some nice eateries, the Empire State Building, Museum of Natural History and Central Park.  We made it down to the Sep 11 memorial but didn't have time to get through the museum in any detail.  We'll definitely get back to NYC in the future and cover off on some more of the attractions.

Stirlo and I in Central Park - a
great afternoon!

We'd had a reasonably long walk and a look through the Museum of Natural History when we came across this busker in Central Park.  He played some pretty good covers - Bruce Springsteen and Janis Joplin and it made for a very pleasant afternoon sitting by the lake taking in his tunes.

The boys were pretty impressed to be in the same
building that featured in the 1930's King Kong movie..

as seen in the movie 'Night at the Museum'.

We'll definitely get back to NYC to take in some
more of the sites.
